Arrival
Pašman is connected to the island of Ugljan by a bridge. Ferries regularly run from Zadar and Biograd na Moru to the islands. The crossing takes about 20 minutes and it‘s only a 10-minute drive from Zadar Airport to the ferry terminal.
Shopping
A large "Tommy" supermarket is located in Preko on the island of Ugljan, and also a large "Plodine" supermarket in Kali and in Mali Pašman. In addition, each town has small "Studenac" markets, fruit and vegetable stalls, and—if you’re an early riser—fresh fish is sold in the small harbors, directly from the boat between 6 and 6:30 a.m.
Fuel
Right next to the ferry terminal in Preko, you‘ll find the only gas station on both islands.
Beaches and Swimming
Pašman has at least one public beach in each town. The official Matlovac beach in Zdrelac consists of several areas: gravel, a small sandy area, and concrete (which the Croatians love). The water is crystal clear with fine sand. On-site, there is an ice cream parlor, a bar with a kiosk, and free parking.
For those who prefer a more secluded and natural experience, there are many swimming spots and coves along the coast. Some of these are directly accessible by car, while others require a short walk. For the more adventurous, the island offers the chance to explore completely isolated coves via remote gravel roads (4WD is sometimes recommended for these locations).
Excursions
Both islands form the gateway to the Kornati National Park. Day trips by boat are a mus-do highlight of any vacation. Additionally, Pašman offers hiking and mountain biking trails in pristine nature with views of the beautiful Dalmatian islands.
